THE FEEDBACK
Rosemary... I got the patches today. They are outstanding in every detail. I am glad you signed them, because otherwise with a little aging they could be taken for originals. Despite the design being somewhat involved, the artwork is absolutely perfect, the colors are right on the money, and the size is exactly correct. Even the leather is very much like the original.
Rosemary~
Now that I have had time to really look at the jacket that you painted for me I am more thrilled with it than ever. Every time that I look at it I see some other detail that I did not notice before. You have captured the street rod image of the car perfectly and the artwork is absolutely spectacular. Everybody that sees it is amazed that so much detail can go into a painting on leather. It is truly “a work of art”. I will wear it proudly and I will send you a picture of my jacket, my car and myself shortly.
If you need a recommendation from me – although I do not see why you would need one – it would be my pleasure to do so.
Thank you again – you are a pleasure and a joy to work with.

In short Rosemary, you had a quadruple threat on your hands (art/color/size/leather), not counting my rather exacting nature. Your product is breathtaking, and your professionalism is beyond reproach. You have my 100 percent trust, and as soon as I locate the artwork for
492nd BS and 7th BW, you will have those jobs as well. Many thanks.

I’M IN LOVE ! Obviously I received my jacket last night and I couldn’t be more pleased. It was 65 degrees this morning and I had to wear it anyway. Thanks so much for the great job.

"Hi Rosemary,
Just wanted to give you some feedback on Sherwood's reaction to the jacket. Suffice it to say he was thrilled!! He totally loved it. He filled up with tears and got all choked up. This was definitely a homerun!!
You did it again. It looked fantastic on him too. I thought it was going to be too big but it fit perfectly and he didn't want to take it off. Everyone was totally blown away by your work.
I'm sure we'll be calling on you again."

"Just wanted to let you know that I received my jacket last night. It is better than I expected. A truly outstanding job!!
The colors and attention to detail are impressive. I did not think that the pictures I supplied to you were that good. How did you do it? If I ever get around to getting another Jacket like this one, I will certainly call you.
Again, Thank you so very much."

"I highly recommend the work of Rosemary Dery for those who wish authentic historical or contemporary nose art for their aircraft or flight jacket. Her work is superb, from her accurate renditions of unit insignia, flags, aircraft and cartoon characters to her very professional mastery of lettering and type faces. Rosemary's handling of paint on leather is a credit to her many, many years of experience in this unique field of art."

Regarding the painted Medic Corps Jacket:
"I've tried several times to put down on paper the appreciation I have for your work on my jacket. I want you to know your art work symbolizes the very essence of our role as a caregiver in combat...It reminds me of the person I once was-with a true sense of purpose. Many combat vets see the art work and understand...
I'm told that PTSD is never cured, only coped with. You have taken the edge off coping."
Thanks.
Always,
Don
"I received my leather jacket this morning that you did the work on and I had to respond. It is absolutely outstanding and I could not be more pleased. All that you promised, you delivered and that in itself is rare in this age. I was especially pleased with your rendition of my father's old squadron insignia patch.
I shall treasure this jacket forever and it will be a family heirloom for many years after I am gone. Thank you very much for your craftsmanship and attention to this project."

"This is one of the best jackets I have ever seen. The detail is excellent and the "Devil's Frolic" looks like he is going to jump right off the jacket. I would highly recommend your jacket art to anyone."

"From what I've seen, I personally think you capture the Varga girl's facial features/expressions better than anyone. I'm no artist, but I would think that's probably the hardest thing to paint, almost like a portrait.
You do gorgeous work!"

Dear Rosemary,
I received my patches on Friday ,Feb. 4, 2005. You are extremely talented and certainly have a gift. Incredible detail. Your work exceeded my highest expectations, which are generally unrealistic! I will remit your balance on Monday via U.S. Mail. I would like to commission you for some additional patches - 8th Air Force. Will e-mail you pictures. Your work is fantastic!
I look forward to working with you on a new project.
Sincerely,

My Dear Rosemary,
Today was a spectacular Spring day in Danville. Sunny, warm...I cracked open a bottle of Mumms and had a Mexican breakfast with my wife. We played hooky from noon on and laid out in the sun. It really couldn't have gotten any better...until my jacket arrived.
Little Miss Dangerous , March 13, 2005
You know... You are Unbelievable...what a mind-blowing piece of Art. It took me over a decade to gather my thoughts together and understand what happened "out there" and what it meant and how to convey it to the citizens and the 'participants' (there are other descriptons for "them"). You put it all together. The sum of Al&rivets, JP6 turbo exhaust, blood, camo, vomit, fire, beer, whiskey, sunsets, night, sweat, fear, adrenalin...whatever (4th of July parades!!!!!).
I may be wrong, but I doubt if you have any idea what you have done. Your hand has pulled different and distant parts together. I still haven't tried it on. I'll wait.
Thank you Rosemary. I sincerely hope we can meet someday. I would very much enjoy having a cocktail with you. My very best wishes to you.
I'll get the balance off to you in the next week or two.

Rosemary,
I just wanted to formally thank you for the extraordinary artwork on my jacket. You captured the vintage image perfectly, and the quality of the work is spectacular. I had spoken to several other “artists” before I found your website. What caught my eye was the guarantee on your work, but what sealed the deal was speaking with you. You are a delight to work with and deliver everything you promise! When I opened the box and pulled out the jacket I immediately had an office of people standing around in awe, having never seen anything so beautiful!
Once I get my bike and bags back from upgrades I will have pictures sent….

Hi Rosemary
The jacket arrived and all went well. The jacket looked great!!! :-)
My sister left on the weekend after the jacket arrived Friday morning at 9:30. My Dad was awestruck. It ignited a stream of memories for him, at age 81 they are still as vivid as when he was 20. He plans to write to you and thank you for the work you did, he may be slow but I am certain he will get to it.
I will begin planning a jacket for myself. It may be a while but I would love to get a jacket for myself. Your work is wonderful!!! Thanks so very much for what you have done.

Hi Rosemary!
The jacket arrived safe and sound and it is truly incredibly beautiful.
Gave it to Dad today at lunch and he could see it!!!!! That's testament to what a perfect job Rosemary did in recreating the original. Wish you could have seen him run his hand over the plane and the smile on his face as he said that it was beautiful.
He is so thrilled. We took all the guys here who helped with scanning the jacket and a few other things out to lunch today to thank them. Wish you could have joined us.
Dad is thrilled beyond words. Tears came to his eyes - and now I will set up a photo session for him so we can get some proper pictures.
Words just don't say what you have made come to life for him - and the great joy it has given all of us to share in that. It is a precious memory from the past come back to be real for today. It is truly incredible that he can see it. The smell, feel and now sight of the jacket makes it so much more than a memory - he is that 18 year old pilot again. Dad is a very quiet - rather shy man. But with the jacket today he went on for 2 hours telling war stories over lunch.
Your talents and your heart for our veterans does indeed repay in a very tangible way for what our vets have given of their lives.
Thank you - thank you - thank you.
With deepest gratitude and appreciation

Rosemary,
I can't believe the work you have done for me. It is beyond words. I will be so proud to wear that jacket and let every one know of the outstanding artist who created it. If only my dad could see it. But I know he will and I thank you for that. I will let all his crew members see how I will honor their accomplishments with your master piece. It is so great looking. Wow.
I'll write later. Have to go stare at your work some more.
THANK YOU again.
Jim
Rosemary,
here's a couple of pictures of the Roadster and the jacket... of course they're not the best, as I was not wielding the camera....everyone notices the jacket!
see you soon,

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Regarding Viper GTS Jacket
Hi Lady;
I have had this jacket hanging in my closet for a while now.
The club got together to compete at F1 kart race track, and of course I show off your creation. (with beaming pride I might add).
Anyway, I came home and with the jacket in my lap, really took a nose-close look at the work you performed.
I am even more impressed now than when I received it.
It took a lot of communication back and forth to get the snake's head right, dam you really rose to the challenge. The attention to detail ( snake's scales, tread on tires, snake's mouth, and nose) really is impressive and a joy to look at.
I most express my deepest gratitude for your incredible patience and desire to create feelings. I am humbled by your talent and elated over & over by your, oh so personally touched, creation.
My dear friend thanks.

Hi, Rosemary!
Just wanted to let you know that I received the 14th Photo Recon Sq and 8th Air Force patches earlier this week. They got here safe and sound.
The patches are simply beautiful! You did an superb job and I REALLY appreciate your patience with me. Few artists, I think, would put up with as many revisions as I wanted!
I am sure Uncle Joe would be proud to see his old Vietnam squadron emblem in paint and leather!
Thank you again for doing a wonderful job!

Good afternoon, Rosemary. The jacket arrived with the patches included.
I cannot say enough about how very pleased I am with the work that you
have done. You are blessed with a terrific talent and your ability to
share your talent and skills with each stroke of a brush is evidenced
in the final product. Your work makes people happy and is special in so
many ways to them.
It is so analogous to the very thing that Ann Haywood did for many Army
Air Corp personnel during 1943-44-45. She too exercise her God given
skill and talent in such a similar manner to boost morale and paint
that which the pilots and their crews wanted upon their planes and
flight jackets.

Thank you, Rosemary for the terrific job that you have done.... upon
opening the package, it too brought a smile to my face and a reflection
of what that pilot or crew member must have experienced when they first
saw what Ms. Haywood had done for them.
Kind regards, Jack Heidler

“Loved it and it’s going to look great on the jacket; I’ll be retiring on 30 June; 43 years after crossing into the blue. The jacket was my requested retirement gift. The 457th has special meaning to me as I served as chief of communications for the 457th AEG during Operation Iraqi Freedom.”

To Rosemary :
Attached are several pictures from my trip to Lexington KY to honor my grandfather's WWII
bomb squadron (the 490th China Burma India theatre). I rode over 50 hours-25 to get there and 25 back.
Rosemary, the art work is fantastic. The size of the patch was perfect and the weathered look really enhances the look. The veterans loved the work-several people actually offered to buy the jacket. I said not for sale, but I gave them your web address. There is not much left to say other than every time I put the jacket on,
I am proud to wear it, and I have not seen a finer jacket than mine. Attached are several pictures- I took several on the way back, and one is taken on the night of the veteran's honor banquet.

Hi Rosemary!
I was just thinking this evening that the work and detailing you did on the jacket is so fabulous, that I have the best jacket art around. Then I realized that there is really nothing like this jacket art anywhere in the world! I just can't imagine how anything else could even come close to this project!
Kind regards,

Rosemary Dery,
I have never seen anything like my coat. The art form is like none other that I have experienced. Your kind of work and skill level is superb. I’m in awe of your skill. I must say ,Rosemary, that I am truly proud to be the recipient of your work, and I now realize why all of your customers are just as proud. There were a few people that were present when I opened the box, and they could not believe the artistic skill that you have, and the quality of what was before our eyes. Needless to say I now understand why you have return customers. I’m glad I didn’t hesitate to send my second job before I saw the finished work of the first job. Thanks for the good service, I’m very pleased.
Thank You and Highest Regards,
